Every one needs to be apart of the addressing, solving, and combating of the issue of terrorism however first we need to undertand what terrorism is and know how it affects our world.
Background:
Terrorism is use of violence, or the threat of violence, to create a climate of fear in a given population. Terrorist violence targets ethnic or religious groups, governments, political parties, corporations, and media enterprises. Organizations that engage in acts of terror are almost always small in size and limited in resources compared to the populations and institutions they oppose. Through publicity and fear generated by their violence, they seek to magnify their influence and power to effect political change on either a local or an international scale.
Terrorist acts date back to at least the 1st century, when the Zealots, a Jewish religious sect, fought against Roman occupation of what is now Israel. In the 12th century in Iran, the Assassins, a group of Ismailis (Shiite Muslims), conducted terrorist acts against religious and political leaders of Sunni Islam. Terrorism has always been violent, deadly, and has always been on this earth however never until recently has terrorism became the deadly, crude, violent, merciless, horrifying, and pain staking that it has came to be. Recently we have been shocked by horrible and deadly events which have shook and shocked the world. The beginning of the struggle to keep terrorism from putting a strangle hold around the world was the September 11th, 2001 attacks in which two Boeing 767 planes flew into the towers causing both towers to fall and the lives of many people. This has led to more destruction causing the US and some other nations to go to war against terrorism in the Middle East. This is the stage we are at now, there are many wars going on at once, the Iraq, the Afghanistan and many other and yet we have not accomplished anything and the layer of peace around the world has thinned dramatically.

Most conflicts and terrorism are caused by the world's amount of resources, disagreements, and the biggest which is difference. To solve this issue of difference we must not all make ourselves the same but accept people for who they are and where they come from. We cannot judge people for being different instead we should accept differences. If we can do one simple action we could change the world, if we kept peace just in ourselves, and everyone focused on keeping the peace in themselves the world would be without conflict and other people trying to spread peace but to no avail.

The other center of controversy is differences in peoples' beliefs, for in a world as wide and vastly populated as this one, we are bound to have ideas that differ from each others', including our religion. However we believe that our and only our ideas are correct, so everyone must follow and there is nothing anyone can say to change our mind. In the end, those who cannot keep their patience resort to forcing others to believe what they believe with violence, or just by wiping out those whose opinions differ. This is what the world is doing now and it is definitely not working. But with so many people living in the world today, forcing others to follow one idea is to be an extremely difficult task that countries are competing to be the first to complete. What they do not seem to pay attention to is just how many lives would be lost to this competition. The easiest way to gain peace is, not for everyone to think the same way, but to embrace the differences in our world at the moment and to have everyone to be peaceful in all they do.

People cannot turn a deaf ear to the issues of terrorism and violence on Earth, they need to realize that conflict is a very serious global issue because of the many futures and lives of individuals it destroys, the stability of nations it destroys, the immense suppression civilians in the conflict zone face, and the chaos for all who are involved in terrorism and combating it. Everyone needs to take apart in the issue of combatting terrorism by changing the one person you can change by allowing yourself to be peaceful, so that the world will also change and be peaceful.

How this Issue is Affecting the World
Conflict and terrorism is affecting the world in many various and different ways. The biggest is that violence is tearing the world be live in apart. Countries need to fund for many things especially conflicts to bring an end to the conflict and yet it is a waste of resources and money. Residents are weary of the wars that are so extensive and the loss of life is staggering. Countering war or just terrorism consumes time, money, resources, and more than just military action. There are more than enough conflicts that we are currently facing which wind up taking a great deal of the world's time such as global warming. Further more conflict and terrorism may also initiate many other problems for instance national fear, chaos, refugees, lives, and economy wreckage. One quote says it all. "We cannot stop terrorism by terrorizing others." We need to accept our differences and not have wars over petty issues such as religion. We need to focus on peace and not wars.
What's Being Done to Stop, Prevent, or Fix this Issue
A specific organization that is working on preventing terrorism in the Middle East is called SFCG, or Search for Common Ground. They are a non violent organization in which find a solution to conflicts in the Middle East. To prevent terrorism they develop media and use it to talk about critical issues that are happening in the Middle East. What I believe is so cool is that how much organizations like SFCG can make without using violence. Instead of going in and using force, they design things for media to deal with an issue that way. “The methods we use vary as greatly as the places where we work. However, our methodology is based on one fundamental principle: Understand the differences; act on the commonalities,” States the President and founder of SFCG, John Marks. This basically means that when faced with a conflict between places SFCG finds out what the differences are as well as the similarities, and then they try to build more on the similarities. That is how we are going to create peace and no other way.
